High vs. low vorticity duration case comparison - runs 315 vs 317


Runs 315 and 317, which differed only slightly in initiation details, exhibited significant differences in vorticity duration. Differences in vorticity magnitude (peak over domain) were smaller.

As shown below, differences in maximum (domain and time overall) vorticity at the surface were less pronounced between runs 315, 317.
