Bruce Donald Lee received his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign (UIUC) in January of 1995. He was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at UIUC from January 1995 to July 1997. His research interests include investigating non-supercell tornadogenesis processes (i.e., tornadgenesis associated with boundary layer convergence lines and deep convection not displaying prominent pre-tornadic mid-level rotation), thunderstorm outflow dynamics and thunderstorm initiation. In the following section, some of the severe storms research conducted by Drs. Lee and Wilhelmson are briefly presented.
